ABOUT CHA AM
Everybody's guide for where to go and what to do in Cha Am
Where is Cha Am?

Cha Am is located in the Phetchaburi province of Central Thailand, just 170 km southwest of Bangkok and 25 km north of Hua Hin. Around 2 hours travelling time.
Assuming you are starting your journey in Bangkok, you should be looking for road #35 (Rama II) to get you out of Bangkok (through Rama IX bridge). On your journey you will pass Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram, and after about an hour, you will encounter the junction with road #4 (Phetkasem).

Phetkasem goes south and divides into two just before Cha-Am. Fork left to go straight to Cha Am (and on to Hua Hin) following the coast. Fork right to take the bypass road that will take you south all the way to Phuket, with a Hua Hin and Pranburi turn-off along the way.

If you are travelling by Bus or Mini-bus, you will get off on Phetkasem road near the junction of Narathip road, which runs directly to the beach. You may need to take a taxi from there unless your hotel is doing a pick-up.

If you arrive by Train, the station is at the far end of Narathip road on the opposite side of Phetkasem road from the beach.
