Information Sources

 

Once you're in Cha Am, its always nice to talk to someone that knows the area, and what's going on at any given time. What better than the official centre of the Tourist Authority of Thailand. You will find this at 500 Phetkasem road, which is the main road running North/South through Cha Am.  Here's a photo to help you recognise when you've found it (click on the photo to enlarge it):

But you're probably reading this because you are looking into Cha Am as a destination, so online resources can be very helpful. Aside from the information we provide, there are a number of web sites that provide information about places to go, things to see and do in and around Cha Am. Check these out:

Expedia is continually updated and gives you a list of the top 30 things to do in Cha am.

Inspirock also gives you a list of things to do in Cha am. But in addition it provides a list of places you might simply like to get out and see - what it calls "Hidden gems".

Bangkok.com gives you a list of things to do in Cha am, but being sponsored by Hotels.com it also allows you to search for accommodation options.

TripAdvisor focuses on the popularity of attractions around Cha Am based on the reviews and ratings provided by travellers. 

The Tourist Authority of Thailand (TAT) publishes information about every tourist destination in Thailand. This is their pages focusing on Cha Am.

BKK Kids maintains a focus on family friendly activities in the various regions. This page lists things you can take the kids to do in Hua Hin, Cha am and Pranburi.

Lonely planet is a limited information source but worth a visit.

Only Cha Am caters for both visitors to the region and expats who have chosen Cha Am as their permanent home. We do caution you however that this site focuses on promoting French owned businesses while actively excluding those owned by other nationalities, including Thai people. We cannot therefore vouch for its objectivity.
